“Ending Overfishing” contains a wealth of facts and visualises them for audiences using simple yet memorable graphics so that the viewer is able to concentrate entirely on the arguments being presented. In contrast to a documentary, Streckenbach’s goal was to consolidate the facts: “I wanted to put the focus entirely on what was important.
That’s the reason I chose a model-like low-poly look, which doesn’t distract from the theme. This also made it possible for me to combine the qualities of an ‘infographic’ with the strengths of animation”.
